| Please, this is a great "picaretagem". You nou wat's a "picaretagem"? Ask them... The Friendship Force of Brasilia Closest major airport: The International Airport of Brasilia Costs of transportation between the airport and our city : It is completely free, since the hosts use their own cars to take the ambassadors home. Maximum number of ambassadors your club can host on an exchange: 25-30; we usually host 25 people but we are very flexible and can host 30 without problems. About the club: The Brasilia Club is 21 years old and we have more than 80 members, including couples and singles. We usually receive two inbounds and one outbound yearly. Most of our members are still working, but we have a good number of retired people. Most of them live in houses, but some live in apartments in the central part of Brasilia. About the region: Brasilia is the capital of Brazil and was founded just 40 years ago. It is planned city and very modern. It is located in the west-central region of Brazil and has a very pleasant climate, never cool and never hot, due to its altitude (1.000 m). There is a rainy season from September to April and a dry season from May to August. The best time to visit Brasilia is from April to May and from the end of September to the middle of October. About the exchange: After picking the ambassadors up at the airport, we have a welcoming party for the Ambassadors so that they can meet other members of our club. We also organize two day-tours: one in Brasilia and one of interesting tourist sites outside of Brasilia. The day before the ambassadors leave, we have a farewell party. For an extra charge, we can arrange some optional tours, but this must be agreed upon by the exchange directors in advance. We also like to give the ambassadors some free time in which to enjoy the company of their hosts | |
