Beginning of the Friendship Force International

1977 |
The program started in 1977, and
nearly half million of
volunteers (ambassadors and hosts) participated in 3,300
interchanges, contacting more than two millions people of the
entire world.

In 1980 the program begun in Brazil with the
foundation of the club of São Paulo by Levy Tavares. |

Cronology of the Friendship
Force in Brasília
|
1983 |
- October: Aldo and Maria Luiza Fagundes went to
Colorado and were invited by Wayne Smith to participate in the convention of
the Friendship Force International, where they met
Dr.Levy
Tavares, founder of the Friendship Force Club of São Paulo.
Wayne Smith then requested Aldo and Maria
Luiza to receive the first group of ambassadors to come to Brasilia from the US.
- November: Brasília receives 45 ambassadors of
the FF of Salt Lake City Club. This exchange
was a success.
- December:
Maria Luiza receives in December of this same year a silver plate of
gratefulness to the jobs given to the International Friendship Force.

- Maria Luiza
co-ordinates exchanges of different places to Brasilia, as Sonorous,
Boulder, Winstom Salem, Naples, Dunedin, Vienna, Bristol, Chestwood and
Santiago;
- Silas
Correia was elected the first President of the
Friendship Force Brasilia.

- October: FF Brasilia receive Ambassadors from Albany, Geórgi
- November: Vicente P. G. Moura is electeded

- Outubro - FF Brasilia receives inbound exchange with 29 ambassadors
from Madison, Wisconsin, USA.
- Novembre - FF Brasilia receives inbound domestic exchange with
over 20
ambassadors from Blumenau, SC.

- March - FFBrasilia realizes its first outbound exchange with 27
ambassadors to
Wellington (New Zeland); Melbourne and Mount Gambier (Australia)
- Maio - FFBrasíla organizes the National Conference of the FF
in
Pirenópolis,Goias
- May - FFBrasilia receives inbound exchange with 10 ambassadors of the FFCampinas and 9 ambassadors from FFRecife.
- July - FFBrasilia realizes its first outbound domestic exchange with 15
ambassadors with the FFBluemanu.
- September - FFBrasilia realizes its second outbound exchange with 29
ambassadors to Moscow, Nizhni Novgorod and Saint Petersburg, Russia.
- November - FFBrasilia receives inbound exchange with 19 ambassador from
FFToquio, Japan.
- December - FFBrasilia helps to open a new FF Club in Fortaleza, state
of Ceara.

- April - FFBrasilia realizes its third outbound exchange with 25
ambassadors with FF Clubs of Chiang
- Mai (Thailand) and Malang (Indonesia) and visits also
Bangkok
(Thailand), Kuala Lumpur (Malasia), Bali (Indonesia), Singapure and
Hanoi
(Vietnam), making
contact with members of the FFBangkok, FFSingapore and FFNanyang (Singapore).
- June - FFBrasilia realizes its second outbound domestic exchange to
FFFortaleza.
- September - FFBrasilia receives inbound exchange with 30 ambassadors
from Melbourne, Mount
Gambier, Casterton, Murray River and Adelaide (Australia).
